New Providence Farmers Market Jersey fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh baked berry pies, cookies, muffins and breads, delicious crab cakes, fresh mozzarella, gourmet nuts and dried fruits, pickles and olives galore and Jersey honey are some of the featured items that will be available at the New Providence Farmers market, opening Wednesday, June 16. The market will be open each Wednesday through October 27, from 1 – 6 PM, rain or shine, in the front parking lot of the New Providence Municipal Center on the corner of Academy Street and Elkwood Avenue.
Returning for the 2010 season are Stony Hill Gardens and Farm and Melick’s Town Farm, with their large selections of vegetables and fruits, Hoboken Farms, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits, Vesco Olive & Pickles, and Krakus Deli featuring Polish goods.
New to the New Providence Farmers Market this season will be a new farm, Murph Farms, featuring vegetables and fruits, and Buzzing Acre Farms, who along with their Jersey honey, will bring a live bee hive in a glass box so all can see the busy bees at work.
