The annual New Providence Street Festival kicked off the fall season in downtown New Providence on Sunday, September 18 from 10 AM to 5 PM. The fair, sponsored by Summit Medical Group, Prestige Diner and The Star Ledger, and presented by the New Providence Business and Professional Association, was this year held on South Street.

This family-oriented street festival offered attractions for everyone. Prestige Diner sponsored a “Kid Friendly Art Tent” that gave kids an opportunity to make something creative to take home. There also were kiddie rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, balloons and a clown. The day included great fair food, as well as offerings from local food establishments, such as sausage and pepper sandwiches, hot dogs, shish-k-bobs, zeppoles, butterfly fries, kettle corn, ice cream and so much more. Street vendors sold many unique items at great prices, and local non-profit organizations offered contests and games.  Entertainment on South Street featured local talent of all ages including singers, dancers, bands and gymnastic demonstrations.

The New Providence Street Fair was a terrific success, and we look forward to even more fun in 2012.  If you, your business or organization want to be an exhibitor at next year’s Street Fair, or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor of next year’s event, please contact Pam or Joe Steiner of the NPBPA team at 908-598-2532; or email them at communications@npbpa.com.
