The New Providence CSA Car Show

The Community Service Association of New Providence (CSA), in conjunction with The New Providence Business and Professional Association, holds an annual Classic Car Show on Academy Street (between Springfield and Elkwood).

The first 50 cars to register receive goody bags and dash plaques. Among the categories for trophies are Car With The Most Bling, The Most Patriotic Car, and The Nicest Vehicle (40-plus years old) and many more.

Registration

The mail-in registration, due by mid-May, is $10. Day-of-show registration will be $15, and the registration table will open at 9:30 a.m. The show cars will enter from Elkwood Avenue.

Forms are at the New Providence Municipal Center at the main desk, at the Senior Center, 15 E. 4th St., or online at www.newprov.orgseniorcenter and click on “Departments.” Forms should be mailed to CSA, NP Municipal Center, 360 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence, 07974.

About the CSA

The CSA helps New Providence residents in time of need. It was started more than 50 years ago when a few businesses in New Providence knew of a family in need and asked residents if they could help. Years later, the United Way asked CSA to join it. A part-time social worker was hired to handle the cases and if more than monetary help is needed, the client will be referred to the proper agency.

The CSA, along with churches, organizations, schools and the general public, helps families with food baskets at Thanksgiving and The Holiday Wish List in December.
