On June 12, 2011 the NPBPA hosted the NJ Sharing Network Foundation’s inaugural Share NJ 5K Race to Save Lives Through Organ and Tissue Donation in New Providence.  More than 4,000 runners and walkers, and over 200 teams, participated in the race.  The teams, composed of volunteers, transplant recipients, donor families, hospital partners, college and high school groups and sponsors came together and raised more than $450,000 in honor of those who gave, on behalf of those who have received and with hope for those who continue to wait.
